This hummingbird was present for at least one week in January of 2003 at the
Powder residence on North Harbor Rd
Suffolk, VA 23435. Click Here for map. Please

Karen told me that it had a "red dot" on its throat. In fact, she was afraid that it was a drop of blood originally! So it appears this is an imm. male bird - probably of the genus Selasphorus or Archilochus.
